Lauren Meltzer has been coordinating special events since her undergraduate years at American University, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Communications.  Since then, she has expanded from collegiate events into corporate, social, and fundraising events throughout the Washington, DC area.

She began her career planning corporate events and parties for office buildings in downtown DC, and the Maryland suburbs.  Simultaneously, she had the opportunity to volunteer for Jubilee Support Alliance, to assist in planning their annual fundraising gala and silent auction.  Looking for a change of pace, she began working at Junior Achievement of Greater Washington (JA®) in 2013.  As Senior Manager of Development and Events at JA®, Lauren coordinates approximately 25 corporate Bowl-a-Thon fundraising events which raise nearly $500,000 each year.  In addition, she plans their annual Washington Business Hall of Fame – a 1,200 person black tie gala which raises approximately $1.4 million dollars.

Lauren has been working with Sara Muchnick Events since 2014.  Her experience in the different realms of the event planning world have made her a huge asset to the team and have given couples the piece of mind and confidence they need to relax and enjoy their special day knowing that all details have been reviewed and executed as expected.  "it's both about the visuals and details from start to finish, but making sure it is stress free is the way to be!"

While not at work, Lauren enjoys relaxing with a good book, traveling, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.  Being married to a local Chef, Lauren and her husband keep the restaurant and hospitality industry in the family, and spend free time experiencing all that the DC scene has to offer.
